Pit Weld U Payment Options: PWU Full Payment - $700 Non-refundable Application Fee + $3550 = Total $4250 PWU Payment Plan - Payment options are available. Call for details. Pit Weld U - 200 - Is designed for the individual looking to learn the ins-and-outs of the SMAW (stick) welding discipline, advanced torch cutting methods and blueprint reading. SMAW is primarily used in structural and heavy equipment applications. This training is designed to develop skills used in industries like construction, fabrication and pipeline work. Like PWU-100, students will also learn about welding safety and proper equipment setup and operation. Held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00pm – 10:00pm, tuition for the 16-week course is $4,250 and includes the following: • AWS Certified Welder Test (D1.1 code, single position 3/8” or 1" carbon steel plate test - student choice for plate thickness and test position) • AWS Membership • OSHA-10 Certification • Certificate and Transcripts per NC State Board of Community College Requirements Each class is limited to a maximum of 12 students. Students who register for PWU-200 are also required to take our blueprint class, PWU-500, which may be taken before during, or after PWU-200.
